This Rwandan coffee from The Portland Project may be the perfect bean for classic coffee palates who want to start exploring single origin, African flavours. A balanced, Bourbon offering, showing many of the characteristics that the country is known for, it has plenty of satisfying body, and a nice chocolate & nut undertone to its flavours that make it easy to enjoy.
Still, there is plenty of nuance to appreciate in a cup of this coffee. It's quite sweet, and has citrus flavours that come through as orange rind, combining beautifully with its flavour back bone to make for a luxurious drinking experience. The mouth feel is syrupy, even creamy, and it shows its best side in a French press, Aeropress, moka pot or espresso.
