Hot on the heals of another offering from El Salvador, our friends at Origin will be pleasing many classic coffee palates with this new offering. Sweet, nutty, medium-bodied and balanced, this is exactly the type of coffee that you will enjoy in espresso, filter and even plungers if you like simple, straightforward flavours.
The coffee is grown on a 5th generation family-run farm in the Santa Ana region which uses meticulous farming practices to get consistent results in their harvests. This lot is actually entirely Red Bourbon - the same variety that we enjoy in Origin's Rwandan offerings. However, the very different terroir imbues it with more nutty notes and a syrupy sweetness. We were often reminded of toasted hazelnuts, maple syrup and marzipan in the cup.
